INSTAclamp™ Lock Rings
INSTAclamp™ Lock Rings are used on rolling mill work rolls, intermediate rolls and back-up rolls, both for operator, and drive sides. INSTAclamps™ feature patented spring latches that error-proof installation on the rolls and improve clamp installation/removal time for the roll shop from minutes to seconds.
INSTAclamps™ replace heavy steel clamping rings or locking rings that are installed with bolts or fasteners. They eliminate the uncontrolled variation in clamping load inherent with these types of rings or roll collars.
Operator Safety and reportable injuries are improved when implementing INSTAclamp™ Lock Rings, by eliminating bolt-on ring pinch-points and reducing heavy-weight steel ring handling. For aluminum rolling mills, safety is improved by reducing or eliminating potential spark hazards by implementing INSTAclamps™.
Roll Balance Cylinders Work Roll Separator Springs
Hyson™ work roll separator springs are self-contained and drop-in solutions for keeping work rolls separated in the rolling mill stand and when the rolling mill chocks are removed or installed into the rolling mill stands. Hyson™ work roll separator springs are used in flat roll and plate cold mills, hot mills, as well as in bar, rebar, and wire mills.
Made in U.S.A., Hyson™ work roll separator springs replace hydraulic roll separator cylinders and Jarret type elastomer spring cylinders, eliminating hydraulic maintenance and reducing mill fire risk. Most Hyson™ work roll separator springs come standard with Toolmind™ wireless pressure and temperature sensors built in. This allows the roll shop to monitor spring pressure and temperature. All Hyson™ work roll separator springs are rebuildable at least once by Hyson™ reducing overall costs in the roll shop.
Steady Stand Springs
Hyson™ Steady Stand Springs are used primarily in bar mills and wire mills and offer enhanced shock absorption above the mill rolls. Hyson™ Steady Stand Springs utilize our nitrogen gas springs to eliminate Belleville Spring stacks or c-cup spring stacks. Spring life is enhanced and stand maintenance time is improved since Hyson™ gas springs cannot fall to pieces into the stand like spring stacks.
